牛津教材上的一个问题请教大家

二上牛津英语书24页,一个男孩举着一张巨人的图片说: I'm Giant now.

问题,我觉得应该是"I'm a Giant now. " 或者"I'm the Giant now." 才对.为什么定冠词和不定冠词都不用加的呢?小的和我都胆小,不敢去问她老师. 固请这里的"老法师"能指点一二.万分感谢!

这里的Giant是大写，那么就是特指的意思，特指是不需要加不定冠词的。
打个通俗的比方： I am Superman!这里的Superman大写意思就是置顶的某个超人（比如电影里面的）。
不太会说成I am a superman

培生英语level one中，好几本关于gaint的书，其中就常常会读到Mr Big is a gaint.
儿子一学这篇文章的时候，就问我，为什么不说I am a gaint. 而是I am Gaint.
我给他的解释是：
这里的Gaint不是巨人，而是这个人的名字或代号是Gaint.
这里翻译的时候不能说“我是巨人”，而应该说“我叫巨人”。
就好比一个人的英文名字叫Lily，我们只能说This is Lily. 而不能说This is a lily.

类似还有KIDS‘ STORY里的故事“Sly Fox and Red Hen"都是特指，大写不加冠

Red Hen lived in a little house in a tree,
Sly Fox lived in the wood, and he was hungry,
Sly Fox picked up his black bag,
“I’m going to catch Red Hen and eat her,” he said.
Sly Fox hid Red Hen’s little house,
Red Hen saw Sly Fox and jumped up out of his way.
“I will catch you,” said Sly Fox,
And he ran round and round and round.
Red Hen’s head went round and round, too.
She fell down into Sly Fox’s big black bag.
Sly Fox ran into the wood.
The big black bag was heavy and Sly Fox sat down to rest,
Then he fell asleep.
Red Hen jumped out of the bag.
Red Hen put some heavy stones in the bag.
Then she ran all the way home.
Sly Fox tipped the bag into the cooking pot.
The stones fell splash into the hot water,
“Ouch!” said Sly Fox. “I really hate the hen!”
