本次教学,从连词(Conjunctions)入手。
孩子应该知道,连词的作用,就是把句子连接起来。
为了帮助孩子观察连词的功能,妈妈可以写出下面五组句子。每组句子,均由 3 句话组成,把前两句连接到一起,就是第 3 句。妈妈可以用荧光笔,像下面这样,把第 3 句里的连词涂上颜色。
第一组:
Tom likes apples.
Jerry likes apples.
Tom and Jerry like apples.
第二组:
Tom is sick.
Tom wants to go to school.
Tom is sick but he wants to go to school.
第三组:
The bell rang.
The students went back to class.
When the bell rang, the students went back to class.
第四组:
Mom watches television.
Papa reads the newspaper.
Mom watches television while Papa reads the newspaper.
第五组:
The teacher is angry.
Jerry is late.
The teacher is angry because Jerry is late.
开始练习喽!
一、让孩子拿着荧光笔。
二、给孩子看下面 9 个句子,每个句子里,均有两个连词。
让孩子用荧光笔,根据句意,选出正确的连词,并涂上颜色。
① I am hungry (and / but) thirsty.
② You can have an apple (if / or) an orange.
③ I will help you (if / but) I am free.
④ The teacher is happy (but / because) the students are hardworking.
⑤ The boys were noisy (when / until) the teacher was not in the class.
⑥ Don't start writing (when / until) the teacher tells you to do so.
⑦ Tom was scared (while / when) he saw a snake.
⑧ Jenny mops the floor (because / while) her sister cleans the windows.
⑨ Please wash your hands (before / after) eating your dinner.
三、对对答案。
孩子应该像下面这样,给正确的连词,划上荧光笔。
① I am hungry (and / but) thirsty.
② You can have an apple (if / or) an orange.
③ I will help you (if / but) I am free.
④ The teacher is happy (but / because) the students are hardworking.
