本次教学，围绕 Although 展开，训练孩子的句法意识。练习之前，让孩子看下面两句话：

① Jasmine's leg is injured.

② Jasmine continues walking.

妈妈说：像这样的句子，我们已经学过怎么用 but 合并（复习请看这里），今天我们要学一个新词，来合并这两个句子。

孩子问：是哪一个词呢？

妈妈在纸上写：

Although + Jasmine's leg is injured + Jasmine continues walking

= Although her leg is injured, Jasmine continues walking.

写完之后，妈妈鼓励孩子说：今天，我们练习用红色 Although 把 2 个句子合并到一起。

开始练习喽！

一、让孩子动笔，完成 6 组练习。

孩子合并句子时，提醒孩子正确使用“代词”。

① The grapes are not sweet.

② Julie still eats the grapes.

Although + ① + ② =

① Ken is late.

② The teacher does not scold Ken.

Although + ① + ② =

① The teacher is in the class.

② The pupils are noisy.

Although + ① + ② =

① Rick cannot read well.

② Rick likes to borrow books from the library.

Although + ① + ② =

① It is spring.

② The flowers are not in bloom.

Although + ① + ② =

① The fan is old.

② The fan is still working.

Although + ① + ② =

二、完成之后，一起对答案。

Although the grapes are not sweet, Julie still eats them.

Although Ken is late, the teacher does not scold him.

Although the teacher is in the class, the pupils are noisy.

Although he cannot read well, Rick likes to borrow books from the library.

Although it is spring, the flowers are not in bloom.

Although it is old, the fan is still working.

孩子写错的句子，要重新誊抄一遍。

三、对完答案，让孩子像上面那样，把句子开头的 Although 划上红色，把句子里的代词，划上绿色荧光笔。
