② Mike walks his dog. (迈克在遛狗。)
妈妈告诉孩子:英语里,有一个连接词 as 表示“一边…一边…”的意思,我们可以用 as 把这两个句子连起来,表示“迈克一边吃着冰激凌,一边遛着狗。”
妈妈在纸上写道:
Mike eats an ice cream + as + Mike walks his dog
= Mike eats an ice cream as Mike walks his dog.
写完之后,妈妈问孩子:找找看,这句话里,哪两个词是重复的?
孩子说:Mike 是重复的。
妈妈说:英语不喜欢重复,所以咱们把这句话改写成:
Mike eats an ice cream as he walks his dog.
妈妈用荧光笔,把句子里的“Mike”,“as”和“he”涂上颜色。妈妈还要告诉孩子,句子后面的“he”,就是代替句子开头的“Mike”。
接下来,妈妈鼓励孩子说:今天,我们练习用“as(一边…一边…)”,把 2 个句子合并到一起。
开始练习喽!
一、让孩子动笔,完成五组练习。
① Bob listens to music.
② Bob strolls. (stroll: 散步)
① + as + ② =
① Jack talks to his friend.
② Jack rushes to the library.
① + as + ② =
① Judy eats a snack. (snack: 零食)
② Judy sits in her father's car.
① + as + ② =
① Andrew strokes his dog. (stroke: 抚摸)
② Andrew talks to his dog.
① + as + ② =
① The children clap. (clap: 拍手)
② The children sing songs.
① + as + ② =
二、完成之后,一起对答案。
Bob listens to music as he strolls.
Jack talks to his friend as he rushes to the library.
Judy eats a snack as she sits in her father's car.
Andrew strokes his dog as he talks to it.
The children clap as they sing songs.
孩子写错的句子,要重新誊抄一遍。
三、对完答案,让孩子像上面那样,把句子里的 as 划上荧光笔。
